Turkey Day 5K Posts Record Turnout

Despite early morning showers and threatening skies, the annual Turkey Day 5K was an enormous success attracting its biggest turnout ever, with 100 participants in total, of which 23 were kids (also a record high).  It's great to see so many families participating together.

The recent rains left the course a bit muddy, but that only added to the fun as people made their way around the challenging course.
Generous donations of canned and non-perishable food items were collected and will be forwarded to the Catholic Charities.
The top finishers were rewarded for their efforts with tasty Thanksgiving treats for the dinner table, although some of them never even made it out of the parking lot!
Many thanks to all the participants and volunteers who helped make this year's event such a big success.  To the several visitors who offered to help when they arrived at the start: thank you, your help was very much appreciated.  And of course, a big thank you as well to St. John Rescue for coming out and looking after everyone.

We hope to see many of you next month for the Fifth Annual Reindeer Ramble. To those of you who have returned home, we'll see you next year!
