When: Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 7:00AM (Labor Day Weekend)

Where: Maho Bay Beach

Hey Everyone!  Get ready for the 17th Annual Love City Triathlon & Aquathlon! We are continuing the tradition from 2014 and 2015 and offering a SUPathlon again this year.

The race is scheduled for Sunday, September 4, 2016. Race starts at 7:00AM!

Brush off your bike, and get out the WD-40, and start training for the tri. If you don’t have a bike, sign up for the Aquathlon--no bike required. Don't want to swim, but want to race? Find a friend who does, and form a team relay team! (Relays in the triathlon only).

The Course

The entire race will be staged from Maho Bay Beach, including start, finish, transition, and after-race picnic!

Detailed course maps and instructions are HERE.

The triathletes will swim a half mile in Maho Bay, then bicycle to Cruz Bay, come back along Centerline to Colombo Smoothie stand, go down Kings Hill and finish back at Maho Bay. The run is a challenging 4-mile course out to Francis Bay and Annaberg, returning to Maho Bay.

The aquathloners will swim the same ½ mile course and run the same 4-mile course as the triathletes. Don’t worry, the iconic stairs are still on the running course!

The SUPathloners will swim the same ½ mile course. Then, they'll grab their boards and paddle from Maho Bay, around Whistling Cay, and back to Maho Bay, where they will repeat the same loop one more time. They will run the same 4-mile course as the triathletes and aquathloners.

Participants in the triathlon can do all three legs competing as an individual, or form a relay team with one or two other athletes and each compete in one or two legs. Please note: participants cannot compete as an individual and also be a member of a relay team, nor can a participant be a member of more than one relay team.

Inter-Island Competition

The inter-island competition is open to all residents of the Caribbean. A team must have 3 members doing the triathlon as individuals, and the team must be mixed gender, i.e. have at least one female or one male. The top 3 combined times is declared the winner and will have their island’s name mounted on a trophy which is displayed in the establishment of a sponsor. The trophy has been traded back and forth between St. John, St. Croix, and St. Maarten, with St. Croix so far having the most wins. Will St. John defend its title in 2015??

The Love City Triathlon, Aquathlon, SUPathlon and Tri Relay is only taking 70 participants in total, so please don’t wait until the last minute to sign up. Your registration fee includes a race t-shirt, finisher’s award, support on the course, the beach picnic after the event, and awards 3-deep for triathlon, aquathon and SUPathon, and relays. The beach picnic is not to be missed – yummy food, beer from St. John Brewers, and a random raffle drawing for some prizes from our sponsors.
